The short version: NekoRadio has no ads, no tracking, no analytics, and no accounts. I don't want your data. The only information that ever reaches me is a station you voluntarily submit for the catalogue.
Your favourites, recently played stations, custom stations, and settings are stored on your device. If you're signed into iCloud, favourites also sync through your private iCloud storage so they appear on your other devices. That data belongs to your Apple account — I cannot see or access it.
If you choose to submit a station to the catalogue (Settings → Submit a Station), the details you enter — station name, stream address, homepage, country, genres, and notes — are stored in the app's Apple CloudKit database so I can review them. Submissions are associated with a pseudonymous iCloud record identifier; I don't see your name, email, or Apple ID. Submitted details are used solely to review and, if approved, add the station to the shared catalogue. To have a submission deleted, email me.
Radio streams come directly from the broadcasters. When you play a station, your device connects to that broadcaster's server, which — like any internet connection — can see your IP address. Those servers are operated by third parties under their own privacy policies; NekoRadio adds no identifying information to those connections and has no relationship with the broadcasters.
The app periodically downloads an updated station list from Apple's CloudKit service. This request contains no personal information.
NekoRadio does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Radio streams are live broadcasts controlled by their stations.
If this policy ever changes, the new version will appear on this page with an updated effective date.
